Here are the Benefits of the Ingredients in our Paws & Yawns Apple Turkey Bowl
Our Paws & Yawns Apple Turkey Bowl is crafted with a delightful blend of ingredients, each chosen for their health benefits that contribute to a nourishing and balanced diet for dogs, especially when fed in a rotation with other Pup Kitchen recipes. Here’s how each ingredient benefits your pup:
Apples: Apples are a great source of vitamins A and C, as well as fiber, which aids in digestion and helps maintain intestinal health. They also provide antioxidants, which support immune function and reduce inflammation.
Turkey: Turkey is a lean protein that helps build and maintain muscle mass while being low in fat, making it ideal for managing weight. It's also rich in B vitamins, particularly niacin, which helps regulate energy and metabolism.
Toasted Oats: Oats are a fantastic source of soluble fiber, which can help regulate blood glucose levels and improve digestive health. They also contain vitamins B6 and B5 (pantothenic acid), which aid in energy metabolism and overall bodily functions.
Sweet Potatoes: Rich in dietary fiber and beta-carotene (which converts to vitamin A), sweet potatoes support digestive health and vision. They are also high in vitamin C and B vitamins, enhancing immunity and providing energy.
Pumpkin: Pumpkin is excellent for digestion due to its high content of dietary fiber. It also provides vitamin A, which is important for vision, skin, and coat health, as well as antioxidants that help protect the body against free radicals.
Peanut Butter: Peanut butter is a good source of protein and healthy fats, primarily monounsaturated fats, which can improve coat and skin health. It also contains vitamins B and E, providing additional energy and antioxidant protection.
Safflower Oil: Rich in linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid that helps improve skin and coat health. It’s also beneficial for its anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce symptoms in dogs with joint issues or skin conditions.
Cinnamon: Cinnamon has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help lower the risk of heart disease and improve circulation. It’s also known for its ability to help regulate blood sugar and improve insulin sensitivity, which can be particularly beneficial for overweight dogs.
Summary
Together, the ingredients in our Paws & Yawns Apple Turkey Meal provide a well-rounded diet full of proteins, carbohydrates, and essential nutrients, ensuring that your dog receives the energy they need while supporting overall health through natural and wholesome foods. This meal not only caters to the nutritional needs but also ensures palatability with a mix of flavors that dogs love.
A Note on Cinnamon
Incorporating cinnamon into your dog’s diet can be beneficial when used appropriately. Cinnamon is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, making it a healthy addition in small quantities. At Pup Kitchen, we carefully measure the cinnamon used in our Paws & Yawns Apple Turkey Bowl to ensure it is well within the safe limit for dogs. Each pound of our food contains less than 1 gram of cinnamon (about 1/2 teaspoon), significantly below the amount that could cause harm. This small amount enhances flavor while also contributing to the overall health benefits of the meal, without risking the digestive issues associated with higher quantities. As with any dietary change, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian if you have concerns about allergies or specific health conditions that might interact with dietary cinnamon.

Otis actually just finished this one for breakfast. Satisfies his sweet tooth. Actually Otis absolutely loves all the meals. Great variety of meals.
The first day I fed them they loved it. The next day my oldest dog ate all of it again. My youngest ate about half and walked away. The young one can be picky, but I think it is a success.
Stitch loves the breakfast pack!!
